Branch 103, 143,144

SIR Area 22 is comprised of three Branches, all of whom serve the greater Stanislaus County area.

Branch 103, named the Stanislaus Branch, was the first SIR Branch in Stanislaus County, and included members from throughout the county. Branch 103 currently meets on the 4th Wednesday of each month at Seasons, formerly the Elk’s Lodge, 945 McHenry Avenue in Modesto. A social period starts at 10:30 a.m. and lunch is served at 11:15 a.m. The Branch has members from throughout Stanislaus County and southern San Joaquin County, but primarily serves the greater Modesto area.

Branch 144, officially named the Modesto Branch, was formed when the number of members became too large for one Branch. Branch 144 also meets at Season’s, 945 McHenry Avenue, Modesto. Their luncheons are on the 1st Thursday of each month, with a social hour at 10:30 a.m. and lunch at 11:15 a.m. Branch 144 serves the same geographical area as Branch 103.

Branch 143, officially named the Turlock Branch, was also formed as the number of SIR members grew. The majority of the members of Branch 143 are from Turlock, Denair and the West Side of Stanislaus County, although anyone in the greater Stanislaus County area may join. Branch 143 meets on the 3rd Wednesday of each month at the Denair Community Center, 3850 N. Gratton Rd., Denair, at the same times as the other Branches.

Persons interested in joining SIR should contact one of the three area Branches if you live in the greater Stanislaus County area. If you live out of the area, please use the link to the SIR State Organization to find a Branch near you. Membership in SIR is limited to males who have retired from their primary career. There is no minimum age requirement to join.
